Target Korea
Targetware's first mod was Target Korea, a flight simulator set during the Korean War. Target Korea has been designed to capture the essence of this conflict, using authentic terrains, air bases and ultra-realistic flight models for all of the antagonists' aircraft. Gameplay begins with duals between Yak-9's and F-51's. As the war progresses, players will participate in missions incorporating a number of different aircraft. The climatic conflicts involve classic battles between the MiG-15bis and F-86F-30 Sabre jets. The Korean War heralded a dynamic new era of fighter-to-fighter combat. For the first time, jets engaged in aerial dogfights on a large scale, but they did so without the stand-off weapons and airborne radars of modern day jet fighters. Korean War-era jets were capable of supersonic speeds, yet were still armed with old-style World War II machine guns and cannon. This led to some exciting up-close-and-personal dogfights featuring very high speeds of engagement and maneuvering.
Target Rabaul
Dateline: the South Pacific, August, 1942
Pearl Harbor. Midway. The Coral Sea. The first year of the war in the Pacific is drawing to a close. In the jungles of New Guinea, Japanese forces are poised to launch a major advance on Port Moresby. Meanwhile, sleepy Japanese bases on the little known islands of Gaudalcanal, Tulagi, and Gavutu are about to discover they are the focal point of the first Allied counterattack in the Pacific. Japanese victory in New Guinea could lead to the fall of Australia. Allied victory will save Australia, and open the way for Allied Forces to launch attacks on the Philippines and upon Japan herself. The fate of an empire hangs in balance as the air, ground, and naval forces of the Allied Nations prepare to meet the full strength of the Japanese South Pacific forces head-on, at a place called Rabaul. Target Rabaul is a community-created massively-multi player online combat flight sim. From the very start, the goal of this project has been to create a historically-accurate WWII Pacific Theatre flight sim. Target Rabaul is not a first person shooter, it is not a relaxed realism flight sim. Our first campaign covers the struggle for New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in 1942 and 1943. Once this first campaign is finished, we plan on moving on to cover other WWII Pacific campaigns, including Midway, Flying Tigers!, Philippines '44, and Task Force!
Target Tobruk
Target Tobruk is a community-based server project that aims to recreate a historically accurate air war over the Mediterranean Sea, using the open source Targetware flight sim engine. The player-volunteers of the Target Tobruk Development Team are attempting to create the most complete and accurately modeled air war yet seen in a massively multi player online flight sim about air war over Malta, North Africa and South of Italy. Flying Target Tobruk MOD you will be able to experience the overall flow of the war from the beginning of 1940 to late 1943. Because this is a player run Series, we welcome submissions for Target Tobruk MOD. Please contact us. This web site is a work in progress. We are concentrating our effort on the game itself, but we will grow this web site over the coming weeks and months, so please check back regularly for news updates and information on the history, men and aircraft of the Air War over the Mediterranean Sea.
Target Air Combat
Target Air Combat is a community-based project that aims to recreate both tactically and strategically the European theater of operations during WW2. Using the open source Targetware flight sim engine we are seeking to recreate the shifting patterns of the war in Europe from it`s inception to it`s conclusion, with every player being able to directly and indirectly affect the outcome of given phases of the battle. To this end a players contribution in what is an Open Arena environment will directly affect the progress of the recreation - from the organization of massive raids on industrial centers, to the effects of indiscriminate damage during the raid, to the single fighter that seeks to harass the raid on it`s way to target or from target and scores a kill - each will affect the changes taking place in the arena, be they none, or the ability of one side or the other to mount or repel an invasion.
Our plane set draws in part upon the excellent and sterling work of the Target Tobruk team, while at the same time our own aircraft are nearing completion and will enable us to begin operations in earnest. We are of course looking for contributions to speed us to that goal, in particular from 3D creators, 2D artists and skin artists! Our initial plane set will include:
Axis: 109E Ju87B Do17Z He111
Allies: Spitfire Hurricane Fairey Battle Vickers Wellington
Other aircraft are both under development and under consideration that will allow the Target Air Combat plane set to progress through the war period, with each sides development progress again linked to their ability to win phases, and thus move ahead of their enemies in technology and supply.
If you wish to get actively involved in Target: Air Combat, or simply register your interest, please feel free to contact us via http://www.target-aircombat.co.uk

Target for Today
The European Theater 1939-45This mod centers around the exploits of bomber crew members of all sides and the heroism they performed in the course of their duties.
Target 4 Today is a community driven project designed to initially run using the Targetware game engine developed by Mark Nine Systems.
It is in the very early stages of development, and the goal is to produce a realistic bomber simulation that encompasses some of the skills used by a bomber crew during an operation; Piloting, Navigating, Bomb-aiming, Flight Engineer, Turret Gunning and Radio Operating.
Our first models released are from the Avro Manchester/Lancaster family for initial flight model and general feedback. They're not finished but they are at a level where we can release them for comment whilst moving on to the next series of planes the Ju88 and B24 and incorporating the comments into these planes returning later to "upgrade" the previous series.
The Terrain used covers the area of European bomber operations from the Baltic through central Germany down to central France.
Target Hanoi
The Vietnam Era Mod...Development is still ongoing.
From the Target Hanoi Website front page...
Introduction
Vietnam 1967. The allied forces have bombed North Vietnam for several years. Still, the constant flow of support for the Viet Cong guerrilla in South Vietnam has not come to a halt. The leaders on the allied side come to the conclusion that it is time to take the battle to the pounding heart of North Vietnam. They decide to 'go downtown', to the capital city of Hanoi.Only the best pilots of the USAF and USN get to fly the missions of the notorious 'Route Package VI'. Heavily escorted, they carry their loads to the strategic targets, facing dangerous opposition from North Vietnamese MiG's and the Communists' newest and deadliest weapons - guided surface-to-air missiles.
